Authorized by the Act of Congress C.S.A. of February 20th 1863; Bond Signer Robert Tyler (1816-1877), 2nd register of the Confederate Treasury; engraved by Archer & Daly of Richmond, VA; Registered No. 8781. Included is the Certificate of Authenticity from Sotheby’s London stating, “This is to certify that this bond is an authentic Confederate States of America Bond issued during the Civil War, 1861-1864. This bond was purchased at Sothby’s London on November 24, 1987.”
